My field imaging laptop kept on rebooting several times, which meant reducing the total exposure time (perhaps some issue with the VNC server and Windows 7 compatibility). Regardless of that minor issue and reconnecting everything up over and over (although the telescope kept the object on the frame since it was still operating properly), this object and starry surroundings are fairly bright. So, the roughly 3 hours feasible capture time was just about right.

This open cluster lies at 6200 ly from us and its apparent position is sandwiched between Scutum and Aquila. It is a nice part of the sky, following the shape of the Milkyway silhouette. The cluster contains around 2900 stars in a 12.5 ly diameters for an apparent 14 arc-min in size.
